In 1899, at the age of 18, Thomas A. Curry, Sr. moved from Monroe County, Georgia, to work for his older brother at his grocery store in downtown Dublin. In 1902, Thomas made the decision to start his own insurance agency and shortly thereafter to offer real estate brokerage services. His first office was in the Henry Building, in downtown Dublin, which still stands at the corner of West Jackson and North Jefferson Streets.

Curry Companies is now in the hands of the third and fourth generation of Curry's and is comprised of 5 core businesses: Curry Residential, Curry Commercial, Curry Rentals, Curry Insurance, Premier Construction Associates.
